SORTIX AI + UV Combined Sorting Machine

SORTIX AI + UV builds on the SORTIX AI sorting machine. The same industrial camera, background-removal algorithm and neural-network classifier inspect the fiber on the conveyor, and the same timed automatic removal remove what they find.

The UV channel adds a second view of every frame. Under ultraviolet illumination, many synthetic and treated materials fluoresce while natural flax does not, giving the classifier a signal that is independent of colour and texture. That matters for the contaminants that are hardest to separate by eye: clear plastic film, white synthetic string, bleached or undyed fabric, and residues from processing chemicals.

Both channels are fused before the removal decision is made, so the machine keeps the throughput and fiber-safe removal of the AI model while widening what it can detect.
