How does the SORTIX AI machine work?
Fiber travels on a moving conveyor under cameras. An AI computer-vision model identifies and locates each impurity, and the removal unit takes it out automatically, in real time, without damaging the fiber.
What purity, accuracy and capacity does it reach?
Documented SORTIX AI figures: fiber purity of up to 98%, 96.4% classification accuracy on the held-out test set, capacity of up to 3 tonnes per hour, 7 ms analysis time per image.
Which impurities does it remove?
More than 15 types, including rope, plastic bags, plastic string, leaves, branches, feathers and fabric.
